The Creative Economy is a 10-week course developed and piloted with 8 students through the M-School at Loyola Marymount University.

This curriculum investigated the convergence occuring between creative industries and the effect that has on the businesses and workers who participate in the production of ideas.

The course was made up of workshops, conversations, and presentations. Below you’ll find a mix of on-screen prompts designed to guide the students throughout the semester. Below that is feedback from a student that gives perspective to the potential impact of this course.

Testimonial from Brionna, B.A. Marketing, LMU class of 2018:

“I also want to say thank you so much for this class, it has inspired me more than any other class I’ve taken in my whole life.

During the course of this class I picked up an entire new passion that I’ve always wanted to explore, portrait photography, and I invested in a bunch of new tools and spaces that will lead to more creative exploration in the future.

I hope you get to teach this course again or have the chance to impact other young creatives like you did with this course in the future!”
